The inspiration behind Mr Hip Stylist stems from the evolution of multiple ear piercings. Once a symbol of alternative culture, multiple piercings have now become mainstream, serving as a form of self-expression. However, the majority of earrings designed for multiple piercings are often limited in their aesthetic appeal due to the constraints of gravity. Dot 3 saw an opportunity to create a design that could only be worn by people with multiple pierced ears, offering a unique look that single piercing earrings can't achieve.

What sets Mr Hip Stylist apart from other designs is its adaptability to various ear sizes and distances between ear holes. Many designs resort to chains as a solution for easy production, which in turn restricts the design. However, Mr Hip Stylist's body, through its simple form, fits harmoniously with the ergonomics of the ear. The adjustable chain accommodates various ear sizes and distances, making it a versatile choice for those with multiple piercings.

The earrings are made from polished Sterling Silver 925, with technical specifications of Width 43 mm x Depth 13 mm X Height 6 mm. The design process began in early 2017 in Beijing and was completed and available for sale online in January 2018.

Most solutions resorted to clip-on solutions or chains to fit different ear sizes and accommodate the various distances between ear holes.
